Role Overview

Almetra is hiring an AI Edge Deployment Engineer to work onsite in Berlin. The professional in this position will take charge of installing and configuring AI edge infrastructure directly at customer locations.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble and set up complete edge hardware arrays, including compute nodes, networking gear, and imaging systems.
Establish device configurations, test network connectivity, and check data transfer from the edge to cloud environments.
Write and implement automation scripts to speed up deployment, system calibration, and verification tasks.
Diagnose and fix problems on-site spanning hardware, software, and networking domains.
Handle component logistics and sourcing in collaboration with operations personnel.
Maintain high reliability, safety, and operational performance standards across all deployments.

Requirements

Three or more years of professional background in systems integration, field engineering, or industrial hardware setup.
Practical expertise handling Linux operating systems, networking protocols, and device configurations.
Prior exposure to Internet of Things deployments, edge computing architectures, or camera installations.
Ability to work autonomously at client locations, which involves domestic and international travel.
Possession of a valid driver's license for equipment transport and site visits.
Capability to occasionally lift weights of 30 kilograms or more.
