Role Overview

Elastic is seeking an Agentic AI Engineer to join the internal IT team in Bangalore, India. The position centers on moving beyond standard chat interfaces toward autonomous agentic workflows and agent-to-agent communication systems. The selected professional will build self-directed multi-agent ecosystems capable of collaboration, task delegation, and business process execution.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and deploy agent-to-agent communication architectures enabling autonomous collaboration and task delegation.
Integrate proprietary and open-source large language models with enterprise APIs and third-party SaaS applications using tool-calling methods.
Apply retrieval-augmented generation techniques and connect enterprise context using search and vector storage engines.
Provision and manage cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP using Terraform for high-concurrency demands.
Establish DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, versioning, and routine evaluation.
Implement security and network fundamentals such as VPC configurations, secure API gateways, encryption, and IAM controls.
Build monitoring and observability systems to track multi-agent interactions, model accuracy, token spending, and model drift.
Maintain technical documentation detailing LLM integration protocols, interaction flows, and cloud deployments.

Requirements

Deep experience integrating, fine-tuning, and optimizing foundation models including prompt engineering and tool calling.
Proven success in building multi-agent systems, inter-agent messaging pipelines, and dynamic task delegation protocols.
Hands-on experience with orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen, and tracing platforms like LangSmith.
Familiarity with AI interoperability standards like the Model Context Protocol and open multi-agent communication specifications.
Advanced programming proficiency in Python or TypeScript for backend orchestration and API service development.
Practical knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation patterns, vector databases, and hybrid search architectures.
Experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of secure cloud architectures, zero-trust network design, private endpoints, and identity management.
Background in setting up observability frameworks to track non-deterministic workflows and token costs.
