Role Overview

Tools for Humanity is seeking a Website UI/UX Designer in San Francisco to craft intuitive, high-quality digital experiences across the World ecosystem. This full-time role focuses primarily on web design (90%) and product design (10%), targeting candidates with 7+ years of professional experience who are ready to invent an AI-native design practice.

Key Responsibilities

Design and evolve multiple high-traffic websites across the World, World Foundation, and Tools for Humanity brands with end-to-end website UI/UX and interaction design.
Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that deliver clear, intuitive, and engaging web experiences.
Collaborate closely with marketing, content, and brand teams to translate messaging into effective user journeys and digital experiences.
Partner closely with developers to bring designs to life from concept through handoff to QA, ensuring pixel-perfect execution and high performance.
Apply strong UX thinking to simplify complex concepts like identity, crypto, and AI into approachable, human-centered interfaces.
Contribute to design systems and patterns that ensure consistency and scalability across web and occasional product surfaces.
Use data and insights such as analytics, user behavior, and A/B testing to iterate on designs and continuously improve performance and usability.
Manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, moving quickly from concept to launch while maintaining attention to detail.

Requirements

7+ years of experience in website UI/UX design, supported by a strong portfolio showcasing strategic thinking and high-quality execution.
Proven experience designing high-traffic websites with a deep understanding of responsive design, interaction patterns, and usability best practices.
Strong visual design skills with a high craft standard, showing acute attention to typography, layout, spacing, and interaction details.
Experience working across both marketing and product surfaces, with the ability to flex between brand expression and functional UX.
Possess US work authorization and a willingness to work in an in-office environment in San Francisco at least 4 days per week.
