Warehouse and Logistics Manager - North America
About this role
The infrastructure organization at Anthropic builds and operates the compute required to train and serve frontier models, relying on a physical supply chain of servers, networking equipment, and accelerators. The warehousing and logistics team manages this physical flow, and this role takes charge of day-to-day operations across North America, covering inbound receiving, storage, inventory control, and outbound shipments to data center sites.
This is a hands-on operational position on a small team where the manager oversees both daily floor routines and the development of processes, controls, and metrics to handle a growing hardware footprint. A strong candidate thrives when making decisions with incomplete information, communicates clearly with engineers and outside vendors, and maintains strict standards for inventory accuracy and security.
What you will do
- Oversee daily warehouse operations across North America locations, including receiving, inspection, put-away, storage, cycle counting, kitting, and outbound fulfillment.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and asset tracking for all infrastructure hardware, compute, and spares, ensuring clear chain of custody from dock to rack.
- Plan and execute domestic freight operations while coordinating international shipments, selecting carriers, and resolving transit exceptions.
- Manage third-party logistics providers, carriers, and freight forwarders through onboarding, service-level tracking, performance reviews, and cost management.
- Coordinate closely with data center operations, hardware engineering, procurement, and security teams to align delivery schedules with deployment timelines.
- Operate reverse logistics for returns, RMAs, and end-of-life equipment alongside secure handling and disposition of storage devices.
- Build and document standard operating procedures, checklists, and controls, training warehouse staff and vendors on execution.
- Define and report on operational metrics like cycle time and inventory accuracy to drive continuous improvement and support capacity planning.
What you need
- Experience managing warehouse or logistics operations for physical goods, including receiving, inventory control, and outbound shipping.
- Hands-on experience with warehouse or inventory management systems and proficiency with spreadsheets for data analysis.

- Working knowledge of domestic freight transport including LTL, FTL, and parcel alongside related documentation.
- Familiarity with safety and regulatory requirements for shipping and storing IT or electronic equipment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional coordination with technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to build processes from scratch and maintain reliable operations amidst growing volume and complexity.

Nice to have
