Role Overview

Vast.ai is seeking a dedicated professional for a high-volume, customer-facing L1 support position based remotely anywhere in Vietnam. This role balances people skills and technical troubleshooting equally. The chosen candidate acts as the initial point of contact for clients and GPU hosts experiencing technical issues. Responsibilities include managing a steady stream of chat and email tickets, diagnosing rental problems, assisting with AI workloads, and escalating complex issues appropriately.

Key Responsibilities

Respond to a high volume of inquiries from customers and hosts via email and chat with professionalism and clarity.
Troubleshoot tier-one problems concerning GPU rentals, Linux environments, Docker containers, and account queries.
Establish clear expectations, provide regular status updates, and follow issues through to resolution.
Document, identify, and escalate complex concerns requiring engineering or L2 attention.
Maintain, update, and improve internal knowledge base articles and support documentation.

Requirements

Past working experience in a B2B or B2C technical support or customer support role.
Strong written English communication skills that remain professional, clear, and empathetic under pressure.
Linux SysOps fundamentals, including comfort with file systems, command lines, and permissions.
Working knowledge related to network and Docker troubleshooting.
Demonstrated ability to handle confused or frustrated customers in a constructive manner.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed in a fast-paced remote environment.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with NVIDIA CUDA GPU drivers and specialized GPU workloads.
Experience utilizing AI and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
Previous background working in infrastructure or cloud support roles.
Direct knowledge of the Vast.ai platform operating as either a host or a client.
Familiarity working with virtual machines and virtualization technologies.
