Technical Architect
About this role
Technical Architects at Anthropic spend their days presenting on public webinars, leading customer workshops, and helping engineering organizations roll out tools like Claude Code and Claude Tag. This team operates as a bridge between product development and customer adoption, teaching engineers, partners, and internal field teams how to integrate agentic AI workflows effectively. You will collaborate directly with enterprise platform teams, handle office hours, and translate user feedback into actionable insights for core product developers.
Anthropic creates reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems, and this role exists to ensure large organizations deploy those capabilities responsibly and successfully. Successful candidates are hands-on engineers who genuinely enjoy teaching complex technical concepts to large audiences without relying on traditional sales pitches. The position requires comfort with rapid ambiguity, frequent travel, and the ability to pivot quickly as new product features ship.
What you will do
- Deliver public webinars and presentations in front of thousands of engineers on a regular rotation.
- Lead virtual and in-person workshops, multi-day onsites, and multi-week cohorts built around customer codebases.
- Run train-the-trainer programs to certify customer technologists and champions on Anthropic materials.
- Educate enterprise administrators on single sign-on, permissions, connectors, and data-handling policies.
- Rapidly build polished decks, demo repositories, or plugins using the tools taught to customers.
- Gather field signal from customer interactions and relay specific feedback to product development teams.
- Partner closely with account executives, customer success managers, and support engineers during customer engagements.
What you need
- Bring five or more years of professional experience as a software engineer, solutions architect, developer advocate, or in a similar technical role.
- Actively ship code that other people depend on and maintain the ability to go deep with senior engineers across the stack.
- Use Claude Code or a similar agentic tool on a daily basis with established opinions on its usage.
- Demonstrate a strong stage presence with the ability to engage large live audiences and handle broken demos calmly.
- Exhibit the communication range required to transition smoothly from casual banter to rigorous technical design discussions.
- Show a high degree of initiative by building things independently and navigating short timelines under pressure.
Nice to have
- Depth in enterprise identity and security review including SAML, OIDC, SCIM, SOC 2, and HIPAA
- Experience running Claude on Amazon Bedrock or Google Cloud Vertex AI
- Familiarity with regulated industries or systems-integrator partners
- A public record of technical teaching such as talks, courses, videos, or writing
- An interest outside technology to share with the team
Benefits
- Competitive compensation
- Optional equity donation match
