Role Overview

Modal is hiring a Talent Partner, Technical to join the team in New York as the first dedicated technical recruiter. The person in this position will manage engineering and AI/ML searches from start to finish while collaborating directly with the Head of Talent, founders, and technical leaders.

Key Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle recruiting processes including candidate sourcing, pitching, interview guidance, and closing.
Collaborate with technical leaders to define role requirements and calibrate evaluation standards.
Contribute to defining the technical hiring bar and assessment methods.
Design and implement creative top-of-funnel approaches to attract skilled and experienced engineers.
Ensure candidate interactions remain fast, respectful, honest, and equitable throughout every stage.
Apply data insights and market context to maintain search momentum and align stakeholder expectations.
Guide candidates professionally through high-stakes career decisions.
