About this role
Anthropic needs someone to address the gap where commercial growth outpaces internal operating processes by stepping in to run important initiatives and bridging teams like Product, Finance, Legal, and Sales. Operating within the Office of the Chief Commercial Officer, this person tackles complex commercial priorities that do not fit neatly into a single department, owning cross-functional workstreams end to end.
Daily responsibilities include managing go-to-market initiatives, preparing materials for executives and the Board, and building the analysis behind critical resourcing and strategic decisions. Reporting directly to the chief of staff to the CCO, this internal role provides a broad view of company decision-making while requiring high autonomy, clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to build trust quickly with senior leaders.
What you will do
- Drive priority go-to-market initiatives from plan to delivery by removing blockers, escalating early, and connecting the right people across teams.
- Build analysis, draft documents and decks, and synthesize input from multiple teams into actionable recommendations for executives.
- Prepare content for the CCO and leadership team, including weekly staff meetings, updates to the Office of the CEO, Board materials, and leadership offsites.
- Track the go-to-market organization's top priorities while maintaining a current view of status, owners, and risks.
- Act as a bridge between go-to-market and Product, Finance, Legal, Safeguards, and Research to ensure customer feedback reaches product decisions and vice versa.
- Step in where initiatives lack clear ownership, run them until a permanent home is established, and execute clean handovers.
- Close out same-day executive requests quickly and to a high standard.
What you need
- Bring four or more years of experience in management consulting, strategy and operations, a chief of staff team, or a similarly rigorous environment working with senior executives.
- Structure ambiguous problems effectively to arrive at clear recommendations.
- Derive numbers independently using spreadsheets, SQL, or Claude, verify them against secondary sources, and explain the methodology.
- Write and speak clearly and concisely for executive audiences.
- Maintain operational trackers and manage administrative details alongside high-level strategy.
- Operate with significant autonomy under rapidly shifting priorities while maintaining close attention to detail and knowing when to escalate.
- Build trust rapidly with senior colleagues who have limited time.
- Incorporate AI tools as a core part of the daily workflow.
Nice to have
