Key Responsibilities
Engineers within the Platform organization tackle diverse challenges across specialized teams. Service Infra builds core infrastructure including service meshes, observability, and deployment pipelines. Platform Portability focuses on multi-cloud tooling, cross-cloud networking, and multi-region deployments. Platform Intelligence powers the foundational systems delivering Claude's intelligence to developers. The Billing Platform team operates revenue-generating infrastructure, automating quote-to-cash workflows, and securing financial data foundations. Platform Serving enables developers to securely connect data to models, while Agentic Systems builds APIs and durable runtime environments for agentic applications. Auth & Identity manages authorization, user authentication, and single sign-on frameworks. Platform Safety creates verification primitives, KYC systems, and trust grants for safe model releases.
Requirements
Candidates must bring a minimum of 8 years of practical experience as a backend or platform engineer building scalable distributed systems. Strong fundamentals in systems design, service-oriented architectures, and networking are essential. Applicants need proficiency in systems languages such as Python, Rust, or Go, alongside experience with cloud infrastructure like AWS, GCP, or Azure, and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
