Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate the core infrastructure behind external tool calls, including the Model Context Protocol (MCP) proxy, OAuth systems, and token management.
Own reliability standards for critical infrastructure, covering service level objectives, on-call rotations, incident response, and postmortems.
Construct administrative controls and permission models enabling enterprise IT teams to govern AI agent capabilities effectively.
Contribute directly to the MCP open standard ecosystem, maintaining official SDKs and collaborating closely with research teams to productize cutting-edge AI capabilities.
Independently scope complex, multi-month projects and guide cross-organizational alignment through ambiguous technical landscapes.

Requirements

Professional background working as a backend or platform engineer.
Familiarity with incorporating AI tools into the software development lifecycle.
Demonstrated ability to take full product ownership, from initial system design through deployment, operations, and iteration.
Experience operating production-grade distributed systems with a solid grasp of scalability, reliability, observability, and incident response.
Strong communication abilities to build consensus smoothly across diverse teams and time zones.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study or an equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience.

Nice to Have

Previous experience operating successfully in both zero-to-one startup phases and more mature company environments.
