Key Responsibilities

Design and construct sandboxed compute environments allowing Claude to securely execute code, use tools, and interact with external services.
Build state management systems designed for long-running agent tasks, managing checkpoints, recovery, and resumption across system failures.
Develop authentication and authorization frameworks for delegated access so that Claude can safely act on user behalf.
Create observability and debugging utilities for agent execution to track actions and enhance performance.
Partner directly with product and research divisions to define product capabilities and deliver them rapidly.

Requirements

Experience creating distributed systems, infrastructure, or platform services at scale.
Ability to build cloud-native infrastructure utilizing GCP, AWS, or Azure.
Experience working with containers, sandboxing, or secure execution technologies such as gVisor, Firecracker, or V8 isolates.
Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable code using Python, Go, Rust, or similar programming languages.
Strong commitment to security, isolation, and building fault-tolerant systems.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Ability to work under a location-based hybrid policy requiring presence in the office at least 25% of the time.

Nice to Have

Comfort with ambiguity and greenfield projects that involve shaping new architectures.
Interest in addressing complex problems without existing playbooks.
Experience constructing multi-tenant execution platforms or serverless infrastructure.
Background in security engineering, sandboxing, or isolation methodologies.
Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools including Temporal, Airflow, or Step Functions.
Experience with state machines, checkpointing, or durable execution patterns.
Low-level systems background encompassing Linux internals, eBPF, or container runtimes.
