Key Responsibilities

Architect the agent platform from end to end, covering orchestration runtime, evaluation and observability stacks, and system integration layers.
Determine foundational technical choices including model strategy, harness design, retrieval and memory architecture, and quality metrics.
Conduct field research with customers and operators to translate operational observations into durable product patterns.
Establish evaluation as an engineering discipline by implementing datasets, graders, regression suites, and experimentation tools.
Hire and mentor engineering team members while establishing technical standards.
Collaborate with leadership on the multi-year platform roadmap.

Requirements

Seven or more years of software engineering experience, including at least two years of hands-on production work on LLM- or agent-based systems.
Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript or Node.js, combined with experience designing distributed systems, APIs, and data models using PostgreSQL and messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Demonstrated ownership of a non-trivial production agent system encompassing orchestration, tool use, retrieval, evaluation, observability, and latency tuning.
Background in a vertical AI or AI-agent company, forward-deployed engineering, or an AI-native data company.
Experience leading zero-to-one builds within early-stage environments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for conducting customer workshops and authoring design documents.

Salary and Benefits

Compensation ranges from $240,000 to $300,000 alongside start-up equity between 0.13% and 0.24%.
