Role Overview

Traba is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Applied AI) to work on-site in New York City, NY. This full-time position centers on product engineering, combining traditional full-stack development with the implementation of AI agents and frontier models across the company's platform and marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

Apply existing agents and frontier models across the worker app, business app, ops platform, and marketplace to automate vetting, matching, and fulfillment.
Lead frontend and backend development while mentoring other engineers.
Architect and build core systems including real-time matching, autonomous vetting pipelines, distributed systems, and APIs.
Own product surfaces end to end in close partnership with product and design teams.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience across frontend and backend development.
Proficiency in TypeScript, React or React Native, and Node.js or Python.
Strong background working with APIs, distributed systems, PostgreSQL, and messaging tools like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Hands-on experience integrating large language models or agents into real products, covering prompting, tool wiring, and evaluations.
Demonstrated track record of shipping scalable products in fast, ambiguous, early-stage environments.
