Role Overview

Durable is seeking a Staff Product Designer, AI to join the team in Vancouver. This on-site role involves shaping the product experience for business owners by blending agentic workflows with traditional user interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

Craft intelligent and intuitive user experiences that combine agentic workflows with traditional UI elements.
Collaborate across all teams at Durable to define and deliver the future of artificial intelligence user experience.
Execute design projects while maintaining a high standard of quality across the board.
Prototype directly using the latest AI models, experiment with capabilities, and discover opportunities for innovative user experiences.

Requirements

Bring six or more years of product design experience working on shipped business-to-consumer products, supported by an in-depth portfolio.
Feel comfortable producing work directly in code or utilizing AI-assisted coding tools like Cursor or Claude Code.
Demonstrate fluency with current artificial intelligence creative tooling, including image, video, and voice generation.
Possess experience designing generative or AI-driven experiences such as prompt interfaces, automated outputs, and multi-modal interactions.
Utilize strong systems thinking to build design patterns and component libraries that scale beyond individual features.
Work from the Vancouver office, which requires an in-office schedule two days per week on Mondays and Thursdays.

Nice to Have

An eye for exceptional brand design and motion to help advance the Durable brand both in-product and across marketing.
Previous startup experience or a history of launching independent projects.

Salary and Benefits

Base compensation ranges from $190,000 to $240,000 CAD per year for Vancouver-based candidates, depending on seniority and experience.
Equity is included as part of the compensation package.
