Role Overview

The AI Security team at Cyberhaven develops backend systems providing real-time enterprise visibility and control over data moving into and out of LLMs, GenAI applications, and autonomous agents. As a Staff/Principal Software Engineer, the chosen candidate acts as a key technical leader, influencing product architecture, solving scaling challenges, and driving development for high-performance distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities

Architect, extend, and optimize a large-scale, fault-tolerant system handling massive graph datasets at enterprise scale, processing billions of AI-related events with sub-second latency.
Define technical direction for securing data flow into and out of AI models, GenAI applications, and agents.
Design and implement end-to-end security features to protect customer data against real-world threats.
Perform thorough performance analysis and troubleshooting to resolve real-world scaling issues.
Build API-level connectors that integrate with enterprise SaaS and AI platforms like ChatGPT and Copilot.
Write secure-by-design software capable of processing untrusted data and communicating with numerous internet endpoints.
Elevate team technical standards by conducting architecture reviews, mentoring engineers, and establishing best patterns.

Requirements

Proven track record building and extending backend systems used at active scale.
Deep, hands-on experience developing large applications using Go.
Operational experience with databases at very large scale.
Hands-on production experience with microservices and Kubernetes.
Experience profiling and optimizing distributed code utilizing large databases and streaming platforms.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate frequently with distributed teams in the US and Europe.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while handling ambiguous challenges.
Customer-centric mindset with an appreciation for direct customer feedback.
Based in India or the European Union.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services such as BigTable, BigQuery, and Spanner.
Experience building API-level integrations with enterprise SaaS applications, particularly AI and LLM platforms.
