Role Overview
The Staff Integration and AI Engineer (Order-to-Cash) at DDN is a hands-on technical lead position focusing on integrations across the Order-to-Cash ecosystem. This remote role is well-suited for an experienced integration specialist with a strong background in Salesforce and Workato who wants to build scalable, secure, and AI-enabled business workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the complete lifecycle of design, development, testing, deployment, and support for integrations linking SFDC with downstream fulfillment, finance systems, vendors, and enterprise platforms.
Collaborate directly with stakeholders across Revenue, Billing, Fulfillment, Order Management, Deal Desk, and GTM Business Systems to turn business needs into reliable technical designs and data flows.
Build and improve integrations utilizing Salesforce tools such as Bulk API, SOQL, Change Data Capture, and Platform Events.\- Create automations and integrations using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, XML, JSON, and GraphQL where suitable.
Utilize integration-platform-as-a-service solutions, specifically Workato, to coordinate workflows across SFDC and related platforms like Workday Financials and Oracle EBS.
Offer technical leadership regarding the best integration tool selection for order data movement depending on the specific use case.
Design innovative API-driven automations that responsibly integrate AI capabilities while preserving strong operational controls, reliability, and security.
Manage integration production support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis while enhancing documentation and observability over time.
Create and update integration documentation, test plans, technical specifications, deployment runbooks, and field mappings.
Take part in Workato release-impact analysis and testing to spot risks and enhancements across the integration landscape.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on integration development experience with a heavy focus on Order-to-Cash, Workato, and SFDC.
Demonstrated background leading integration tasks from initial requirements gathering through design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
Practical knowledge of Workato, SFDC security, SOQL, Bulk API, Platform Events, and Change Data Capture.
Solid experience working with JSON, XML, REST APIs, SOAP APIs, and API-driven system integration patterns.
Familiarity with iPaaS technologies, preferably Workato or a comparable platform.
Comprehensive understanding of Order-to-Cash data domains and business processes including Quoting, Opportunity Management, Billing, Order Management, and Fulfillment.
Strong communication skills capable of explaining technical concepts, delivery risks, and data tradeoffs to technical and business partners alike.
Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, showing high ownership and attention to reliability, security, and data quality.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global setting while prioritizing concurrent initiatives and handling both standard connectors and novel automation hurdles.
Nice to Have
Experience constructing AI-enabled workflows through APIs, encompassing the safe and scalable integration of AI services into business operations.
Experience utilizing developer productivity automation, command-line tooling, or Claude Code.
Background supporting global or multi-country sales and finance environments.
Current or past Workato certification.

Salary and Benefits
Annual Salary Range: $155,000 to $235,000 USD
