Role Overview

This position sits within the central AI and Automation team, working closely with various business domains such as commercial, clinical operations, and customer experience. The professional in this role will discover opportunities where artificial intelligence and automation can execute workflows faster and more frequently than human teams. By identifying step-change opportunities, building business cases, and mapping data flows across CRMs, ERPs, and document stores, the engineer shapes the future-state of enterprise operations. Responsibilities include deploying production agents, handling integrations, and ensuring robust observability and performance tracking.

Key Responsibilities

Map existing and potential workflows within specific business domains to uncover high-impact automation opportunities.
Design target workflows that outline clear divisions of labor between AI agents and human teams, incorporating effective retrieval and grounding methods.
Stand up agents and automation pipelines using approved platforms, connecting them to enterprise systems via APIs, webhooks, and CLIs.
Own end-to-end agent performance by tracking key metrics including throughput, cost, quality, and human intervention rates.
Build, manage, and execute evaluations prior to shipping any material updates to models, data, or workflows.
Instrument comprehensive observability tools such as structured logs, tracing, and dashboards.

Requirements

Hands-on technical fluency utilizing Python scripting, SQL, APIs, webhooks, and command-line interfaces.
Working knowledge of large language model and agent behaviors, including prompting, context management, tool use, RAG, and evaluation methods.
Comfortable working within a cloud platform environment.
Demonstrated trustworthiness with elevated system access, maintaining a mindset centered on least-privilege principles and safe rollbacks.
Strong technical and process judgment with a focus on measurable business outcomes and key performance indicators.

Nice to Have

Prior experience delivering measurable outcomes through direct collaboration with business units.
Hands-on background with enterprise agentic platforms like LangChain, CrewAI, AWS Bedrock, Claude, or Codex.
Professional background in product management, technical operations, consulting, or solutions engineering.
Familiarity with regulated environments including HIPAA, SOC 2, SOX, or GxP.

Salary and Benefits

Base salary ranges vary by geographic cost of living areas. Standard cost of living areas range from $152,100 to $190,100 per year, higher cost of living areas range from $167,300 to $209,100 per year, and lower cost of living areas range from $136,900 to $171,100 per year. Additional compensation components include bonuses and equity.
