The Sr. Developer Relations Manager at Backblaze is a remote position based in the US that drives developer adoption and ecosystem trust for the company's cloud storage platform. Key Responsibilities

Ensure Backblaze B2 serves as the optimal storage layer for developers and coding agents by focusing on MCP servers, agent contexts, and machine-readable documentation.
Coordinate cross-functional internal teams including engineering, documentation, content, and solutions engineering around a unified developer strategy.
Build credibility and community presence in GitHub, Discord, and open source ecosystems where AI builders actively engage.
Maintain a developer feedback loop to channel adoption friction and integration needs back to product and engineering teams.
Define success metrics such as developer signups, activation rates, and B2 adoption, connecting awareness directly to program accountability.

Requirements

Meaningful leadership experience in DevRel, developer marketing, or developer experience at a cloud infrastructure, open source, or AI tooling company.
Technical credibility to read a codebase, evaluate an SDK, write a working integration, and converse with engineers about technical tradeoffs.
Experience operating effectively without a large team, leveraging cross-functional relationships and community.
Strong communication skills capable of writing crisp technical tutorials and executive summaries.
Existing presence in developer communities through a personal following, conference talks, open source contributions, or a technical blog.

Nice to Have

Direct experience with model training, data processing, or generative media.
Familiarity with how coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot recommend infrastructure tools.
Experience working with or building on open source AI/ML frameworks such as MLflow, DVC, Ray Data, WebDataset, and MosaicML Streaming.
Prior experience running or contributing to startup programs or accelerator cohorts.
