What you will do
- Define and guide the technical direction of a small team using specialized knowledge in target tracking and state estimation.
- Prototype and deploy algorithms for tracking, multi-sensor data fusion, and state estimation within agile development environments.
- Build high-performance software for real-time systems that covers tactical implementations, simulation environments, and decision support tools.
- Design and implement filters, estimators, and probabilistic reasoning systems to process noisy or incomplete sensor data.
- Evaluate system performance using high-fidelity simulations, modeling tools, and statistical methods.
- Customize tracking and sensor fusion algorithms to address specific mission-critical use cases.
- Integrate estimation technologies across the entire software development lifecycle, from initial requirements through testing and optimization.
What you need
- Demonstrate programming proficiency in C/C++, Python, and Matlab alongside strong skills in algorithm design and statistical modeling.
- Possess solid knowledge of target tracking techniques such as Kalman filters, particle filters, and multi-target tracking algorithms like JPDA, MHT, or PHD filters.
- Bring experience in state estimation, including Bayesian filtering, sensor fusion, and recursive estimation methods.
- Understand applied mathematics topics including linear algebra, optimization, probability, and stochastic processes.
- Apply signal processing techniques to interpret diverse sensor data from sources such as radar, lidar, and EO/IR.
- Be familiar with big data pipelines, NoSQL databases, and efficient handling of large-scale sensor data.
- Show a background in applying machine learning to target tracking and recognition, including clustering, classification, and anomaly detection.
- Maintain eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
