Role Overview

Anduril Industries is hiring a Senior Product Engineer, Data in Boston, Massachusetts. This position focuses on building internal products on top of a unified data model to help teams across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, People, and Sustainment run their operations. The role owns products end to end, spanning user research, data design, user interface shipping, and impact measurement.

Key Responsibilities

Own products from 0 to 1 by finding high-level problems, scoping, prototyping, presenting to users, and iterating.
Treat operators as customers by spending time with them, understanding domain needs, and converting requirements into software.
Build across the stack, including data models, backend logic, user interfaces, optimization models, forecasting engines, or LLM-powered workflows.
Build on the ontology and extend the unified data model, pushing changes back when gaps are identified.
Ship fast and measure impact through small releases and tight feedback loops.
Make critical product calls regarding what to build, trade-offs, and feature lifecycles.
Raise the bar for the Analytics team by demonstrating how data models function as products.

Requirements

4+ years building software or data products as a Product Engineer, Software Engineer, Data/Analytics Engineer, or technical consultant with a strong engineering background.
A track record of shipping products from 0 to 1 that people actively use.
Strong product sense to differentiate real problems from stated ones and balance scope, speed, and quality.
Solid data modeling fundamentals with the ability to design generalizable entities and relationships.
Proficiency in Python and SQL with the ability to learn new languages and frameworks as needed.
Comfort working directly with users and non-technical stakeholders with clear communication.
Experience handling sensitive data and following security protocols.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Nice to Have

Frontend development experience using React and TypeScript, or general end-to-end internal tool creation.
Optimization, operations research, or simulation experience including linear or integer programming, scheduling, routing, and inventory.
Applied machine learning or LLM-powered application development experience.
Experience with Palantir Foundry such as Workshop, Ontology, or OSDK.
Domain knowledge in manufacturing, supply chain, finance, or defense operations.
Early-stage startup experience or a history of wearing multiple hats across engineering, product, and design.
A portfolio, GitHub, or side project displaying self-directed learning of difficult topics.
