Role Overview

Sierra is seeking a full-time Software Engineer, Insights to join its engineering team in San Francisco, CA. This role suits professionals who want to work on the frontier of AI products and build systems that analyze massive datasets for customer-facing AI agents.

Key Responsibilities

Build reporting and experimentation systems that analyze and visualize millions of data points regarding agent performance.
Enable agent developers to execute A/B tests to make data-driven decisions on agent behavior.
Construct Explorer, an AI-powered clustering and analysis tool over conversational data, similar to ChatGPT.
Create proactive monitoring systems to detect defects and identify new operational patterns in agents.

Requirements

Four or more years of hands-on experience building production products and systems.
Ability and comfort in building and shipping full-stack solutions.
A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
High agency, motivation, and a passion for working with cutting-edge AI products.
Alignment with the core company values of craftsmanship, customer obsession, and competitive intensity.

Nice to Have

Experience building AI-powered applications or products.
A sharp eye for product design.
Familiarity with Go and TypeScript.
Background in building developer tooling, databases, or programming languages.
Technical leadership experience on projects or engineering teams.
