About this role
Addressing the challenge of bridging the gap between theoretical machine learning models and production-ready enterprise systems, Invisible Technologies builds operational AI platforms that structure messy data and deploy agentic workflows. This role exists within the Forward Deployed Engineering team to help scale models and improve platform performance while working directly with top clients on use case discovery and product development. Engineers in this position will combine hands-on model development with robust backend engineering, building scalable systems and supporting cloud operations for machine learning solutions. What you will do
- Build robust and scalable backend systems to support machine learning operations and data processing pipelines.
- Oversee and optimize cloud infrastructure to ensure efficient deployment and operation of ML models.
- Independently explore and address complex problem spaces to improve system capabilities and performance without extensive guidance.
- Work closely with machine learning engineers and data scientists to integrate advanced technologies across various platforms.
- Collaborate directly with clients by embedding within client teams to support use case discovery and product development.
- Participate actively in research and development initiatives to enhance AI capabilities and workflows.
What you need
- Bring at least two years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on machine learning engineering and model deployment in production.
- Demonstrate extensive experience in full-stack development with an emphasis on backend environments supporting AI and ML workloads.
- Show prior experience working directly with clients in use case discovery, product development, and leading client engagements.
- Exhibit strong proficiency in Python alongside deep expertise in large language models, AI agents, and model development.
- Possess experience designing and deploying scalable systems such as retrieval-augmented generation pipelines and production-grade AI applications.
- Have extensive experience with major cloud platforms and operational best practices for machine learning workloads.
- Maintain familiarity with container management tools like Kubernetes and polyglot persistence models including SQL and NoSQL.
