Senior Software Engineer (Forward Deployed)
About this role
Building and deploying AI-powered solutions directly with clients and internal delivery teams forms the core of the daily routine. The person in this role collaborates with delivery leaders to scope technical solutions, identifies workflow optimizations, and designs AI-powered workflows utilizing large language models and automation tools. Invisible Technologies operates an end-to-end platform that structures messy data, automates digital workflows, and deploys agentic solutions for enterprise clients.
This hybrid position functions as an AI engineer, software builder, and technical consultant rolled into one. Projects are owned end-to-end, requiring the engineer to tackle ambiguous problems, prototype workflows, and build scalable systems on top of the platform. Someone who enjoys direct client engagement, hands-on model work, and turning real-world operational constraints into stable engineering solutions will thrive here.
What you will do

- Identify workflow optimizations through deep engagement with customer challenges and build stable, scalable solutions.
- Design and implement AI-powered workflows using LLMs, embedding models, retrieval systems, and automation tools.
- Translate messy real-world constraints such as inconsistent data and latency requirements into elegant engineering solutions.
- Iterate quickly based on real-time feedback from operators and clients.
- Build reusable tooling and infrastructure that accelerates future deployments.
What you need
- Bring 6+ years of software engineering experience, including significant time spent building data, machine learning, or backend systems.

- Show skill in full-stack and API-based deployment patterns including Docker, FastAPI, Kubernetes, and cloud environments like GCP and AWS.
- Possess experience with workflow orchestration libraries, pub/sub systems like Kafka, and schema governance.
- Demonstrate expertise in data governance and operations including Unity Catalog, cluster and job orchestration, and Delta/ETL pipelines.
- Exhibit strong product and system design instincts with the ability to translate business needs into technical architecture.
- Display excellent communication and client-facing skills with experience leading conversations with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain a willingness to be on-call for customers when situations arise and travel for on-site client engagements as needed.
