Sierra is currently hiring a full-time Software Engineer, Agent (Cantonese Speaking) to be based in Singapore. This role suits a builder with a strong technical background who wants to design and deploy mission-critical artificial intelligence solutions for global brands.

Role Overview

In this position, professionals will design, deliver, and scale production-grade artificial intelligence agents. Team members own the complete agent development life cycle, guiding systems from initial pilot through deployment and ongoing iteration. Practitioners will partner directly with large enterprises and innovative startups to understand unique operational challenges and create scalable AI applications that drive tangible business results.

Key Responsibilities

Design and ship reliable, performant, and intuitive artificial intelligence agents running in production environments across industries like commerce, healthcare, and finance.
Drive the full agent development life cycle with complete autonomy, covering building, tuning, and evolving production systems.
Collaborate closely with enterprise leaders to analyze business requirements and build tailored artificial intelligence solutions at scale.
Shape the evolution of the core platform by surfacing unmet customer needs, prototyping new tools, and collaborating with research and product teams.

Requirements

Experience building and scaling end-to-end production systems.
Strong technical problem-solving capabilities within fast-changing and ambiguous environments.
A builder and tinkerer mindset marked by high agency and creative problem-solving.
Comfort engaging directly with customers to understand real-world needs and deliver solutions.
Excellent communication skills that remain clear and persuasive across technical and non-technical audiences.
Proficiency in Cantonese is required to support interactions with Cantonese-speaking clients.

Nice to Have

Experience building or deploying artificial intelligence or large language model systems in production.
Background as a founder or founding engineer.
Familiarity with modern tooling such as evaluation frameworks, agent tooling, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, and prompt engineering.
Prior practical knowledge of React, TypeScript, or Go.
Previous roles involving direct customer interaction or leading technical projects with external stakeholders.
