Role Overview

Zürich, CH – Senior/Staff Security Engineer, Detection & Response. This role suits experienced security professionals who want to build detection and response capabilities for AI systems.

Key Responsibilities

Lead incident response across external attacks, insider threats, and all technology layers.
Develop and deploy tooling, including large-language-model-based solutions, to enhance threat detection.
Design, tune, and maintain detections, playbooks, and response workflows.
Analyze incident metrics, refine procedures, and drive continuous improvement.
Collaborate with security and engineering teams throughout the organization.
Participate in an on-call rotation.

Requirements

Proven experience handling security incidents and investigating anomalies in a team setting.
Working knowledge of EDR, SIEM, SOAR, or comparable security tools.
Solid understanding of cloud environments and operations.
Experience partnering with engineering teams in a SaaS context.
Proficiency in Python and SQL for scripting and querying.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to lead projects with minimal guidance.
Quick learner of new languages and technologies.

Nice to Have

7+ years of software engineering, detection engineering, incident response, or threat hunting.
Experience with large-scale Kubernetes security operations.
Background in analyzing attack behavior and building high-quality detections.
Knowledge of threat intelligence, malware analysis, infrastructure-as-code, or forensics.
Experience in a high-growth startup environment.
