Senior/Staff Applied AI Researcher, Growth
About this role
Someone who likes to imagine new possibilities and build better systems rather than plug-in to outdated ones will thrive in this environment. Quince is hiring a Senior/Staff Applied AI Researcher to serve as an architect for end-to-end agentic infrastructure focused on marketing execution and user growth.
In this role, the researcher transitions the company away from manual optimization loops by designing software layers that autonomously handle creative asset generation, event-driven multi-agent workflows, and cross-platform campaign management. Operating with zero-to-one autonomy, the individual deploys the frontier of LLMs and multi-agent frameworks into production workflows to impact top and bottom lines directly.
The team collaborates closely with data science, data analytics, and machine learning researchers to scale brand categories and improve ad delivery efficiency. The position suits an engineer who enjoys tackling complex, ambiguously defined algorithmic challenges and shipping real-world software with measurable operational outcomes.
What you will do
- Serve as an architect and technical owner of end-to-end multi-agent event streams and automated systems that drive brand category scaling.
- Collaborate with existing data science, data analytics, and machine learning researchers to bring technical visions to life.
- Write clean and scalable service-layer code to maximize Large Language Models like Claude and advanced prompt validation tools for real-time execution.
- Design and scale custom automated content loops and multi-modal asset pipelines that synthesize marketing copy, graphics, and video layouts.
- Build autonomous decisioning pipelines that integrate with data matrices to dynamically model and optimize asset deployment across platforms.
- Establish rigorous confidence limits, prompt versioning protocols, and fallback frameworks to handle LLM failure modes safely at web scale.
- Partner with product management, data science, and engineering squads to define unified catalog schemas and eliminate data latency bottlenecks.
What you need
- Have at least 8 years of technical experience, including 1 to 2 years of corporate or industry experience.
- Demonstrate expert-level command of Python and SQL.
- Show mastery of advanced LLM integration frameworks and data serialization patterns.
- Possess experience operating independently to untangle loose, ambiguously defined algorithmic or statistical optimization problems without pre-existing abstraction layers.
- Demonstrate a track record of shipping real-world software that produces data-driven revenue and operational outcomes.
Nice to have
- Experience building custom developer velocity extensions or generative asset platforms within direct-to-consumer, retail, or e-commerce environments.
- Deep familiarity with advertising networks, performance marketing data structures, programmatic bidding models, or real-time event-driven architectures.
- An advanced degree such as a Masters or PhD in computer science, mathematics, statistics, physics, or another highly quantitative field.
