Role Overview

g2i is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, AI Training for a remote, worldwide contract position. The engagement offers 10 to 20 flexible hours per week with ongoing project durations lasting from two weeks to a few months. The compensation ranges from $100 to $200 per hour, determined by candidate experience and location.

Key Responsibilities

Review and assess AI-generated coding interactions from start to finish.
Determine if outputs are practical, high-level correct, and reflective of senior engineering thought processes.
Evaluate the quality of explanations and reasoning provided by the models.
Categorize response quality levels to distinguish between different tiers of performance.
Provide direct, written, opinionated feedback detailing what succeeded, failed, or felt misleading.
Help establish benchmarks for quality when utilizing development tools such as Cursor, Codex, and Claude Code.

Requirements

Senior, Staff, or Principal-level engineering background or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python.
Practical experience utilizing OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, or Cursor.
Familiarity with modern development workflows assisted by artificial intelligence.
Ability to assess code effectively without running it or performing line-by-line code reviews.
Minimum B2 level in written and spoken English, with the capability to write detailed feedback and record short video explanations.
Capacity to deliver direct, opinionated feedback and maintain a high standard for engineering quality.

Nice to Have

Previous background in prompt design or evaluation processes.
History of mentoring senior engineers or establishing engineering standards.
