Within the newly formed AI Platform team, the incoming engineer will design and operate shared services, evaluation pipelines, agent and Model Context Protocol infrastructure, and observability tooling that power all AI features across the organization.
Joining at the ground floor allows the successful candidate to shape how artificial intelligence is delivered at scale while ensuring strict adherence to security, cost, and quality benchmarks. Daily efforts involve working across large-scale backend systems, guiding technical designs from conception to completion, and collaborating directly with product teams to translate feature requirements into robust platform enhancements.
What you will do
- Design, build, and operate core AI Platform services such as evaluation pipelines, agent and MCP infrastructure, and observability tooling.
- Lead small-to-medium technical features independently from initial design through to final completion within a defined roadmap.
- Maintain high reliability at scale through proactive testing, continuous monitoring, on-call rotation participation, and root cause analysis postmortems.
- Partner closely with product and feature teams to build customer-facing AI applications and transform user feedback into platform improvements.
- Contribute to team growth and engineering standards by conducting thorough code reviews, writing clear documentation, and mentoring junior colleagues.
What you need
- Bring five or more years of professional experience building production-grade backend services and distributed systems.
- Demonstrate strong programming proficiency in a mainstream backend language like Python or Java.
- Possess practical working experience with Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure environments.
- Show prior experience building with large language models, encompassing model API integration, retrieval systems, agents, or evaluation tooling.
- Exhibit operational maturity through the ownership of live production services, handling incidents, and debugging complex distributed issues.

The position offers hybrid work in Prague, Brno, or remote within the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Only Prague-based employees are required to work from the office at least two days per week.
What is the compensation structure for this position?
The base salary starts from 4500 EUR per month, with the final amount adjustable based on individual skills and experience. Additional compensation includes an annual company performance-based bonus, RSUs, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
