Senior Software Engineer - AI Platform
About this role
The AI Platform team at SentinelOne is building the shared services, agent and MCP infrastructure, evaluation pipelines, and observability tooling that power every AI-driven feature across the organization. Operating at the ground floor of this newly established initiative, the incoming senior engineer will design, scale, and operate foundational backend systems that accelerate AI delivery while maintaining strict security, cost, and quality standards.
This role exists to scale the company's autonomous cybersecurity capabilities by turning partner feature requirements into robust platform improvements and collaborating directly with product teams. Ideal candidates bring a strong foundation in distributed backend systems, production-grade cloud infrastructure, and a curious mindset toward emerging artificial intelligence frameworks and model integration.
What you will do
- Design, build, and operate services of the AI Platform, including evaluation pipelines, agent and MCP infrastructure, and observability tooling.
- Lead small-to-medium features from technical design through completion while working independently within a clear roadmap.
- Ensure platform reliability at scale through rigorous testing, monitoring, on-call participation, and root cause analysis during postmortems.
- Collaborate with product and feature teams to build customer-facing AI features and translate user pain points into platform enhancements.
- Share knowledge across the engineering group through code reviews, comprehensive documentation, and the mentorship of colleagues.
What you need
- Bring five or more years of professional experience building production-grade backend services and distributed systems.
- Demonstrate strong coding skills in a mainstream backend programming language such as Python or Java.
- Possess working experience with Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure environments.
- Show direct experience building with large language models, covering model API integration, retrieval systems, agents, or evaluation tooling.
- Exhibit operational maturity through prior ownership of live production services, monitoring, debugging, and incident response.
Nice to have
- Production experience building with LLMs and demonstrated personal projects in the AI space
- Experience shipping customer-facing product features
- Background working in cybersecurity or another regulated, high-trust domain

What is the remote work and office policy?
The position offers hybrid work in Prague (Karlin), Brno (Clubco), or remote within the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Only Prague-based employees are required to work from the office at least two days per week.
