About this role

Conducting hands-on security risk reviews for AI systems, agents, and workflows from early design to launch readiness forms the core of daily operations. Sony Interactive Entertainment seeks a practitioner to evaluate end-to-end AI designs, identify security gaps, and translate complex technical weaknesses into practical recommendations. Collaboration happens closely with Responsible AI, Information Security, and engineering organizations to guide diverse business units across the PlayStation brand.

Operating at the intersection of AI technology, risk, architecture, and enablement, the incoming specialist helps teams navigate ambiguity while using modern AI tools directly. Ideal candidates bring a practical builder mindset, strong communication skills, and a talent for building trust across technical and creative groups without relying on rigid bureaucracy.

What you will do

  • Lead hands-on security risk reviews of AI use cases and systems from early design through launch readiness.
  • Assess end-to-end designs to identify material security risks, control gaps, data lineage and classification, and operational concerns.
  • Translate findings into practical, risk-based recommendations and partner with stakeholders to track resolution.
  • Serve as a trusted security partner by providing early consultation, education, and reusable guidance.
  • Coordinate with Responsible AI and Governance along with relevant security and technical teams to deliver consistent reviews.
  • Use security tooling and discovery insights to identify emerging risks, engage owners, and support appropriate remediation.
  • Improve AI security requirements, review practices, reference patterns, and supporting tools as technologies and risks evolve.

What you need

  • Bring 6+ years of experience building, integrating, assessing, or securing technical systems, including significant recent hands-on work with generative AI.
  • Possess strong working knowledge of modern AI application stacks to interrogate designs, trace data interactions, and identify security weaknesses.
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of security fundamentals like identity, permissions, data protection, integrations, and monitoring.
  • Maintain a practical builder mindset with experience using AI tools, APIs, cloud services, code, or automation.
  • Display a proven ability to build trust and influence across engineering, product, creative, business, and security teams.
  • Stay current with emerging AI technologies, evolving security risks, AI risk frameworks, and industry trends.
  • Exhibit strong communication, empathy, sound judgment, and the creativity to challenge assumptions while operating independently.

Nice to have

  • Experience with AI red teaming, adversarial testing, threat modeling, or security evaluations of LLM and agentic systems
  • Experience with cloud-based AI platforms, third-party AI services, or enterprise security tooling
  • Experience in gaming, interactive entertainment, creator technology, or similarly innovative product environments
  • Experience reviewing complex technical designs and translating identified weaknesses into practical, prioritized recommendations
  • Relevant certifications such as GIAC AI Platform Security (GAIPS), CISSP, CRISC, IAPP AI Governance Professional (AIGP), CCSK, or CCSP

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Matching 401(k)
  • Paid time off

  • Coveted employee discounts for Sony products
