Role Overview

As a Senior SDET at Patrianna Limited, the professional will focus on building, maintaining, and scaling test automation frameworks using modern tools and agentic artificial intelligence. Operating fully remotely from Ukraine, the candidate will integrate AI into daily engineering workflows, ensuring high software quality, security, and performance across the social gaming platform.

Key Responsibilities

Set up, maintain, and enhance test automation by refactoring Java frameworks like JUnit5, Playwright, and Retrofit with the help of agentic AI tools.
Research, evaluate, and implement cutting-edge AI coding assistants and agentic workflows such as Cursor and Claude Code.
Conduct code reviews and refactoring utilizing artificial intelligence to detect security flaws, edge cases, and design pattern violations.
Configure CI/CD pipelines and integrate AI-powered root cause analysis and self-healing mechanisms within GitHub Actions and Docker.
Manage technical debt by deploying AI agents to plan and execute large-scale migrations and legacy code restructuring.
Mentor team members on prompt engineering best practices and evaluate the AI-literacy of job candidates.
Contribute to Operations Excellence by creating and maintaining standardized AI instructions like .cursorrules and CLAUDE.md files.

Requirements

Extensive full-time experience in Java Automation using Java 8+ alongside a solid foundation in software testing theory and strategies.
Proven expertise in constructing and maintaining test automation frameworks including Playwright, RestAssured, Retrofit, and Appium.
Hands-on background in API automation, OpenAPI/JSON schema validation, and SQL/NoSQL database testing.
Practical knowledge of containerization and orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong web automation capabilities with deep familiarity with HTML/CSS/DOM, selectors, and browser DevTools debugging.
Understanding of client-server architecture, task estimation, prioritization, and independent execution.
Expert proficiency in AI-augmented engineering tools like Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and agentic coding modes.
Advanced prompt engineering skills with critical thinking to identify and correct AI hallucinations.
Excellent communication skills and professional English proficiency.
