Role Overview

The Senior Backend Engineer will design and maintain robust backend systems that power financial transactions and core platform operations. Working within an ambitious technology team, the professional handles heavy traffic and ensures seamless performance across the entire development lifecycle, from initial sprint planning to production deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Write clean, testable, and efficient code on schedule to support global platform growth.
Participate in every stage of the software development life cycle, including planning, coding, and releasing.
Collaborate closely with product managers and cross-functional development teams to guarantee smooth execution.
Construct and support high-load architectures capable of managing massive transaction volumes.
Resolve production errors swiftly by utilizing performance metrics, monitoring tools, alerts, and system profiling.
Drive automation and scaling initiatives to improve overall system reliability.

Requirements

Extensive professional background as a Java engineer with deep knowledge of Java Core (version 8 and above).
Demonstrated expertise in building multithreaded and high-load backend systems.
Comprehensive understanding of SQL and relational database optimization.
Hands-on experience utilizing Docker and containerization ecosystems.
Proven capability to troubleshoot complex production environments with monitoring and profiling utilities.
Professional English proficiency for both verbal and written communication.

Nice to Have

Practical background working with ClickHouse, GCP, Kafka, and ElasticSearch.
Familiarity with Ebean, Protobuf, InfluxDB, and Grafana.
Exposure to wallet service maintenance and Google Services integration.

Skills and Tools

Core Technologies: Java, Spring Boot, Spring, Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Kafka, AlloyDB for PostgreSQL, Spanner, Redis.
Infrastructure and Testing: Docker, Ebean ORM, Flyway, Quartz, Websockets, Test Containers, Locust, Jenkins, ArgoCD.
