As an Associate Engineering Manager, the successful candidate takes ownership of delivery outcomes for one to two teams comprising six to fifteen engineers. Key Responsibilities

Take full ownership of delivery for 1 to 2 teams, tracking progress, ensuring reliability, and surfacing risks early.
Handle people management and career development through 1-on-1 sessions, performance reviews, and daily leadership with senior guidance.
Uphold rigorous engineering standards across backend, frontend, mobile, and QA functions.
Maintain technical hands-on involvement roughly 30 percent of the time by writing code and reviewing pull requests.
Collaborate with Team Leads and Product Managers to define work scopes and remove operational blockers.
Support platform stability by assisting teams with incident investigation and root cause analysis.

Requirements

Strong software development background featuring solid backend expertise and distributed systems knowledge.
Experience within the Java ecosystem.
Emerging leadership experience gained as a Tech Lead, Team Lead, or similar position.
Strong delivery instincts capable of tracking progress and identifying risks without micromanagement.
Solid product sense to evaluate requirements for gaps, risks, and technical implications.
Professional English communication skills for technical and cross-functional discussions.
Comfort working in an AI-driven engineering environment.
