Senior Quality Engineer, Applied AI
About this role
Building automated system integration tests that exercise real product lines end to end across PLM, ERP, MES, and WMS is the primary focus of this role within the CorpTech Platform team. Working as the senior technical anchor for the Mission Control group, the person in this position will simulate production workloads and data, leverage AI to author and maintain tests faster, and establish release readiness criteria and quality gates for factory systems.
The CorpTech Platform acts as the internal engineering force multiplier for Anduril Industries, powering corporate systems like CorpOS and ArsenalOS while driving the transition toward an autonomous enterprise. Candidates who succeed here possess deep technical fluency in modern software architectures and distributed systems, alongside a strong capability to bridge hands-on implementation with systems-level quality strategy in a fast-paced environment.
What you will do
- Design, build, and own automated system integration tests that exercise Anduril product lines end to end across multiple systems.
- Simulate production workload and data for product lines to ensure tests reflect actual factory operations.
- Leverage artificial intelligence to author, maintain, and triage tests faster while enabling others to verify quality.
- Reason about distributed architecture and trace failures across service, network, and vendor boundaries to their actual causes.
- Set test strategy, release readiness criteria, and quality gates for the release train.
- Build observability, instrumentation, and environment strategy to turn failing tests into clear signals.
- Partner with engineering teams and business partners on the floor to move quality upstream into design and acceptance criteria.
What you need
- Bring 8 or more years of experience in software engineering, software development engineering in test, site reliability engineering, quality engineering, or a related role.
- Demonstrate experience building and operating automated integration or end-to-end test suites for production systems.
- Possess strong technical fluency in modern software architectures, APIs, distributed systems, continuous integration and deployment, and cloud infrastructure.
- Show experience reasoning about failures that cross system boundaries with strong debugging and root cause analysis instincts.
- Have experience working with frontier AI tooling, AI coding assistants, or agentic systems.
- Maintain the ability to move between hands-on implementation and systems-level quality strategy.
- Hold a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field, or have equivalent practical experience.
- Satisfy U.S. Person status requirements to access export-controlled data.
Nice to have
- Experience testing enterprise or manufacturing systems such as ERP, MES, WMS, PLM, or CRM.
- Experience generating or anonymizing production-like data and load for test environments.
- Experience with modern browser and API automation frameworks such as Playwright.
- Experience supporting AI-first or AI-accelerated engineering teams.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

What is the salary range for this role?
The salary range for this role is $191,000 to $253,000 USD, which is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience, education, training, critical skills, and business considerations.
