About this role

Professionals who thrive at the intersection of advanced robotics, artificial intelligence, and rigorous product execution will find a natural home in this role. Agility Robotics builds commercially deployed humanoids that work alongside people in warehouses and manufacturing facilities, handling physically demanding tasks. As a senior product manager, you will lead the strategy and development for Digit's perception and learned capabilities, determining how the robot understands its environment and translates that awareness into useful physical work.

Working alongside perception, machine learning, robotics, and autonomy teams, you will establish performance metrics, drive capability maturity from prototype to production, and bridge emerging AI research with real-world deployment outcomes. This position suits someone who enjoys untangling complex technical trade-offs, defining evaluation frameworks for autonomous systems, and transforming customer workflows into scalable robot intelligence capabilities.

What you will do

  • Own the product strategy, priorities, and roadmap for perception-enabled and learned robot capabilities across Digit's application portfolio.
  • Translate customer workflows and application requirements into clear technical specifications for perception, scene understanding, learned behaviors, and adaptation.
  • Define product-level metrics and evaluation criteria for accuracy, robustness, generalization, latency, and failure behavior.
  • Establish clear expectations for progressing capabilities from research stages through validation, productization, and production deployment.
  • Partner closely with AI models, simulation, and engineering teams to align technical investments with meaningful product outcomes.
  • Coordinate cross-product dependencies across task skills, robot software, hardware, simulation, and infrastructure.

What you need

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Bring at least five years of product management or equivalent leadership experience in robotics, autonomous systems, AI/ML, or computer vision.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of machine learning, perception, robotics, and autonomous systems domains.
  • Possess a proven ability to work effectively with highly technical engineering and research teams.
  • Show experience translating ambiguous customer problems into measurable technical capability requirements.
  • Understand the distinction between technology performance and production product readiness.
  • Demonstrate experience defining metrics, benchmarks, or evaluation frameworks for complex technical products.

Nice to have

  • Experience with computer vision, foundation models, reinforcement learning, imitation learning, learned policies, or multimodal AI systems
  • Experience with manipulation or mobile robotics, including humanoid platforms
  • Experience taking machine learning or robotics capabilities from research through production deployment
  • Experience with simulation, synthetic data, evaluation infrastructure, or large-scale robotics datasets
  • Advanced degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field

Benefits

  • 401(k) Plan with a 6% company match
  • Company stock options
  • 100% company-paid medical, dental, vision, and short/long-term disability insurance starting on day one
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) well-being support
  • Flexible, unlimited PTO for exempt employees alongside 12 company holidays including a winter shutdown
  • Generous paid parental leave programs and catered lunches four times a week at applicable locations
