About this role

The Knot Worldwide is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our team in Barcelona, Spain, to help transform how couples discover and connect with wedding professionals. This hybrid role is a strong fit for an experienced product leader who understands complex marketplace dynamics and wants to drive meaningful business and customer impact.

Role Overview

In this position, you will own a core product area within our global wedding vendor marketplace, focusing heavily on search, discovery, recommendations, matching, and personalization. Your mandate is to bridge the gap between couples planning weddings and local small businesses offering services. You will guide product initiatives from initial problem definition all the way through launch, measurement, and iteration, balancing couple satisfaction, vendor value, and long-term marketplace health.

Key Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end product strategy, roadmap, and execution for a key area of the wedding vendor marketplace, including search, ranking, and recommendation systems.
Tackle complex marketplace hurdles such as liquidity, matching efficiency, relevance, trust, supply quality, and conversion rates.
Partner directly with data science, engineering, and design teams to build and refine algorithmically powered recommendation and personalization experiences.
Establish success metrics across the entire funnel, directly connecting discovery improvements to qualified interactions, bookings, vendor value, and gross merchandise value.
Use behavioral data, experiments, customer feedback, and market research to evaluate opportunities and make informed product tradeoffs.
Communicate product strategies, decisions, evidence, and tradeoffs transparently to executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

At least 5 years of professional product management experience, featuring significant background in building products for multi-sided or two-sided marketplaces.
Proven track record of taking a complex product area from concept and strategy through launch and continuous iteration.
Exceptional product judgment, with the ability to define ambiguous problems clearly and drive decisions under conditions of incomplete information.
Strong analytical foundation, utilizing behavioral metrics, customer insights, and experimentation to evaluate impact.
Demonstrated collaboration history working closely with engineering and data science on data-powered or technically intricate products.
Structured communication skills tailored for technical, commercial, and executive audiences.

Nice to Have

Direct experience owning consumer search, ranking, matching, discovery, or personalization products.
Familiarity with relevance systems, query understanding, retrieval models, cold-start challenges, and continuous feedback loops.
Background in defining and optimizing health metrics such as match quality, transaction volume, or retention for marketplaces.
Experience working within marketplaces involving considered purchases, local service providers, or infrequent high-value transactions.
