About this role

Enterprise customers need to deploy applied artificial intelligence into complex workflows, but bridging the gap between high-level business goals and technical execution remains a persistent challenge. Coursera requires a product leader to take charge of customer deployments from initial discovery through adoption and value realization, ensuring that AI investments yield measurable returns. Operating within an emerging motion, this person will collaborate directly with enterprise leaders, Forward Deployed Engineers, and internal product teams to shape deployment roadmaps and translate ambiguous requirements into actionable technical solutions.

This position suits an entrepreneurial product manager with deep technical fluency and extensive experience guiding enterprise software or AI deployments. Candidates who thrive in this environment are comfortable navigating ambiguity, influencing cross-functional stakeholders without formal authority, and balancing commercial realities with technical feasibility. Beyond individual customer engagements, the successful candidate will help establish the playbooks, operating models, and frameworks needed to scale the applied AI business globally.

What you will do

  • Lead customer discovery sessions with enterprise stakeholders to map out objectives, workflows, technical constraints, and desired business outcomes.
  • Translate complex customer problems into clear product requirements, acceptance criteria, and sequenced deployment roadmaps.
  • Partner with Forward Deployed Engineers and internal engineering teams to design secure, scalable, and supportable technical solutions.
  • Manage delivery governance across internal and client teams by overseeing timelines, dependencies, risks, and milestone execution.
  • Establish value hypotheses and success metrics for each engagement while monitoring adoption, ROI, and business impact.
  • Identify recurring customer needs and feed those insights back into the core product roadmap to build reusable capabilities.

What you need

  • Bring over eight years of relevant professional experience across B2B product management, enterprise software, technical consulting, or solutions delivery.
  • Demonstrate a history of taking technically complex enterprise products or deployments from initial discovery through production launch.
  • Possess strong customer-facing capabilities with experience engaging senior business leaders, technical stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
  • Showcase technical fluency regarding enterprise software architecture, data pipelines, integrations, cloud infrastructure, security, and privacy.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of AI and LLM-enabled products, including their commercial value, operational limitations, and enterprise deployment considerations.
  • Apply hands-on prototyping experience utilizing AI-assisted or low-code development platforms such as Claude, Cursor, or Retool.

Nice to have

  • Experience deploying AI, machine-learning, LLM, RAG, or agentic solutions into production enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with AI evaluation, guardrails, human-in-the-loop workflows, observability, model performance, and responsible-AI practices.
  • Experience working in education technology, workforce transformation, talent intelligence, skills, learning platforms, or other enterprise environments involving complex stakeholder and data ecosystems.
  • Experience delivering products or programs across multiple regions, industries, or regulatory environments.
