Role Overview

As a Senior Product Manager at RunPod, ownership covers the strategy, roadmap, and business performance of a high-impact product area within the AI platform. Defining market positioning, identifying target customer segments, and connecting product investments to adoption, retention, and revenue are core focuses. Operating in a cross-functional environment, the position involves close collaboration with Engineering, Design, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Infrastructure, Finance, Partnerships, and company leadership to make data-driven decisions and achieve measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

Own and execute a multi-quarter product strategy tied directly to revenue growth, gross margin, adoption, retention, and platform expansion.
Define target markets, buyer personas, user personas, and ideal customer profiles utilizing research, usage data, and competitive analysis.
Build comprehensive business cases for major investments, covering market opportunities, pain points, willingness to pay, and expected return on investment.
Develop and manage KPI-driven roadmaps where every initiative features clear success metrics and measurable impact.
Track and report on key product and business metrics including activation, conversion, usage growth, churn, and compute utilization.
Conduct frequent customer discovery with prospects, partners, and go-to-market teams to validate product direction and uncover scalable opportunities.
Partner alongside Engineering, Design, and Infrastructure to deliver reliable, scalable, and intuitive platform capabilities.
Collaborate across departments to drive go-to-market readiness, pricing input, launch planning, and customer onboarding.
Communicate product strategy, risks, and roadmap progress clearly to executives and stakeholders.

Requirements

Six or more years of product management experience, specifically owning technical, infrastructure, developer platform, cloud, AI/ML, enterprise software, marketplace, or usage-based products.
Proven background operating products at significant scale, serving millions of users, hundreds of thousands of developers, or large enterprise workloads.
Demonstrated ability to make product decisions prioritizing reliability, performance, usability, cost efficiency, and customer trust.
Strong business judgment connecting product strategy to revenue growth, customer acquisition, retention, and operational efficiency.
Deep analytical capability, including defining KPIs, analyzing funnels, interpreting usage trends, evaluating cohorts, and using data for prioritization.
Experience building business cases with market sizing, customer segmentation, ROI analysis, and competitive positioning.
Strong customer discovery skills to uncover pain points and translate insights into product opportunities.
Comfort operating in technical domains involving infrastructure concepts, APIs, developer workflows, cloud platforms, or distributed systems.
Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with diverse teams to drive alignment and execution.
Excellent communication and leadership skills for crafting strategy documents and executive narratives in fast-moving environments.

The base salary for this position ranges from $175,000 to $225,000 USD annually, determined by qualifications, location, and experience.
