Role Overview

LiveKit is hiring a Senior Product Engineer to create the surfaces that developers use to ship robotics applications. Key Responsibilities

Build and ship core product surfaces end-to-end, focusing on web applications and command-line interfaces.
Design and implement features that provide an intuitive and powerful experience for developers.
Engage directly with customers and developers to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
Move rapidly from prototypes to production code, iterating based on actual user behavior.

Requirements

Six or more years of engineering experience with a history of shipping end-to-end products.
Strong coding abilities in TypeScript alongside modern web frameworks.
Demonstrated success in building user-facing software adopted by technical users or developers.
Prior experience developing dashboards and interfaces specifically for robotics applications.
Strong product sense to balance user experience, technical implementation, and practical trade-offs.
Ability to navigate ambiguity, frame vague problems, and deliver solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Genuine enthusiasm for physical AI, robotics, and developer enablement.

Nice to Have

Background building developer platforms, SDKs, APIs, or CLIs.
Experience operating distributed systems at scale, including Kubernetes deployments, analytics, and telemetry.
Hands-on background in building hardware or robotics.
Open-source contributions, particularly regarding infrastructure or developer tools.
Familiarity with realtime audio, video, or artificial intelligence tooling.
Residence in or willingness to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.
