Role Overview

Operating within an ephemeral team model, the professional in this role designs sustainable operational advantages through process change, operational system design, workforce and vendor design, and AI-assisted or low-code operational tooling. This individual contributor role executes 10 to 12 major operational transformation programs annually with strong stakeholder adoption and lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities

Lead operational excellence programs across two or more business domains using a proprietary operational excellence model to identify strategic improvement opportunities aligned with business objectives.

Independently manage complex operational challenges from discovery through delivery, breaking down ambiguous problems into comprehensive improvement initiatives.

Execute 10 to 12 major operational transformation programs annually with high stakeholder adoption rates and demonstrated impact lasting 18 months or longer.

Apply advanced problem-solving methodologies and first principles thinking to deconstruct complex operational challenges and reveal underlying structures.

Create comprehensive communication strategies that drive alignment across multiple operational domains and influence department-level stakeholders.

Identify high-volume operational workflows where AI-assisted tools or agents reduce manual work, improve consistency, or accelerate cycle time.

Build and iterate operational AI tools, agent workflows, and agent skills that encode how work should run.

Requirements

Bachelor degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred; a Master degree is a plus.

8+ years of experience in operational excellence, process improvement, program management, or similar roles with increasing responsibility.

3+ years of program leadership experience managing complex multi-stakeholder initiatives and influencing department-level stakeholders.

Certification such as Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Advanced Lean, PMI advanced credentials, Certified ScrumMaster, or Prosci Change Management.

Six Sigma Black Belt certification from an accredited provider or Lean Master certification with demonstrated multi-domain application.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience analyzing complex operational performance data across multiple business areas.

Demonstrated experience applying artificial intelligence to change how operational work gets done, including workflow redesign or automation adoption.

Nice to Have

Master degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

Exposure to agentic automation or low-code operational tooling.
