Role Overview

As a Senior ML Engineer at Cosuno, the individual will take ownership of machine learning models and AI features from initial concept through to production deployment. The professional will design, train, evaluate, and iterate on intelligent systems that solve real-world problems in the construction industry. By bridging the gap between raw data and practical application, the engineer will directly impact how users interact with the platform.

Key Responsibilities

Build and manage AI capabilities for the construction platform, overseeing the complete lifecycle of models from design to maintenance.
Enhance price prediction models utilized for evaluating bids and procurement decisions using millions of price data points.
Optimize ranking, search, and retrieval systems designed to connect the appropriate subcontractors with relevant tenders.
Create offline evaluations and execute online A/B tests to drive data-led system iteration.
Develop and refine agentic systems capable of orchestrating multi-step reasoning for complex tendering workflows.
Deliver features into the product by building models, backend services, APIs, and integrating components into the web application.
Partner with product, engineering, and data teams to transform business challenges into deployed machine learning solutions.
Ensure the ongoing health of production machine learning systems through proactive monitoring, alerting, and continuous updates.

Requirements

Five or more years of professional experience building, training, and shipping classical machine learning and deep learning models to production.
Advanced proficiency in Python for writing clean and structured production-grade code.
Extensive hands-on experience designing and deploying large language model and agentic systems, including RAG and multi-step reasoning.
Demonstrated ability to conduct rigorous offline evaluations and online A/B testing.
Familiarity with TypeScript, React, and Node to facilitate frontend and backend integration.
Strong record of delivering end-to-end product features from research code to actual users.
Product-oriented mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and prioritize effective execution.

Nice to Have

Background in designing search, ranking, recommendation systems, or pricing models.
Prior involvement with embedding models, fine-tuning, or large-scale model training.
Industry familiarity with construction, procurement domains, or online marketplaces.
