About this role
The day-to-day work for the Senior AI Product Engineer involves building and enhancing the intelligent systems that form the core of Cosuno's platform. This role centers on leveraging Generative AI to develop solutions that navigate the complex tendering workflows within the platform. The engineer will be responsible for owning features completely, taking them from the initial model or agent design through to the final delivery via the API, the TypeScript front-end, and the backend service integration. A significant part of the responsibility includes maintaining the deployed AI systems through monitoring, alerting, and continuous improvement processes.
This role exists to embed advanced AI capabilities directly into the product to solve real business problems for construction companies. The engineer collaborates closely with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to translate abstract business challenges into functional and shipped AI features. This position is ideal for an engineer who thrives on end-to-end ownership, possesses deep expertise in LLM application development, and can operate effectively in an ambiguous environment.

What you will do
- Develop and enhance LLM-powered systems designed to manage complex tendering workflows.
- Take full ownership of features, managing the implementation from the model/agent stage through to the TypeScript front-end and backend service API.
- Integrate AI functionality directly into the web application experience.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to convert business problems into tangible AI features.
- Monitor deployed AI systems, setting up necessary alerting mechanisms and driving continuous improvement efforts.
- Design and build robust APIs, data pipelines, and backend services supporting the AI features.
What you need
- Demonstrated proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Node.js is required for end-to-end delivery across the front-end and backend.
- Possesses at least five years of experience writing production-grade Python code while maintaining clean and well-structured code.
- Proven experience shipping AI-powered features into a production web application, owning the process from initial research code to user integration.
- Deep hands-on experience building and deploying LLM/agent systems, including expertise in RAG, tool use, multi-step reasoning, and evaluations.
- Strong backend engineering skills, including the ability to design APIs and data pipelines.
- A product mindset that allows the candidate to navigate ambiguity and determine when a feature is sufficiently complete to ship.
- A sharp problem-solving ability to quickly assess complex systems and determine the necessary next steps.
