Role Overview

The Senior Member of Technical Staff (Applied AI) at Solstice will direct the technical path for retrieval, generation, verification, evaluation, and production monitoring. The engineer collaborates directly with the VP of Engineering and the company co-founders to shape product strategy, technical hiring, and market positioning.

Key Responsibilities

Build high-craft text and visual assets like emails, banners, and slides that maintain brand standards and compliance rules.
Connect generated marketing assets to real-world performance metrics such as engagement, healthcare professional response, and scripts written.
Create offline metrics that correlate with downstream medical, legal, and regulatory review pass rates.
Maintain claim-level attribution by tracing every sentence back to approved source materials and preserving provenance.
Manage ML Ops including continuous integration and deployment, versioning, automated testing, and behavioral regression monitoring.

Requirements

Production ownership experience in shipping, operating, and maintaining machine learning and large language model systems.
History of inventing metrics to measure and improve system performance.
Depth in large language models covering retrieval, agentic pipelines, targeted fine-tuning, and tool selection.
Full-stack proficiency utilizing Python, FastAPI, Docker, and AWS.
Strong judgment under ambiguity with a direct and open communication style.
