The Senior Manager, Finance Systems - Treasury at Anthropic is a foundational leadership position based in San Francisco, CA, responsible for architecting and scaling the financial infrastructure that powers global treasury operations. This role suits an experienced systems and product leader with deep treasury expertise who wants to build production-grade financial applications and Claude-powered workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Design the target-state treasury technology architecture, establishing a robust data foundation and determining build-versus-buy strategies for systems.
Build the product roadmap for daily cash positioning, liquidity forecasting, cash flash reporting, bank account management, and payment workflows.
Partner with treasury operators to convert daily and monthly operating processes into tested, Claude-powered automation workflows.
Integrate treasury data models, banking networks, and vendor systems into the broader corporate data lake and ERP environment.
Ensure all deployed systems maintain auditability, strong internal controls, and compliance standards necessary for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
Guide the direction of one to two finance systems engineers by reviewing technical designs and unblocking operational hurdles.

Requirements

Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, technical program management, or systems leadership within finance, treasury, or fintech.
Extensive treasury domain knowledge covering cash positioning, liquidity forecasting, bank connectivity, cash pooling structures, and payment workflows.
Demonstrated track record of owning platform architecture and executing vendor selections, system implementations, or internal custom builds.
Experience leading complex system design programs and communicating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders including Accounting, FP&A, and Internal Audit.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Nice to Have

Hands-on administrative or implementation experience with treasury management systems such as Kyriba, Quantum, or Trovata.
Background integrating directly with banking APIs, payment rails, and bank connectivity providers.
Prior exposure to designing or overseeing finance data infrastructure at a program level using GCP, BigQuery, or comparable warehouses.
Experience building or product-managing AI and LLM-assisted workflows, agents, or automated financial operations.
Professional credentials such as a CTP or CFA.
