Key Responsibilities

Define and execute machine learning roadmaps across UK growth, new customer segments, and international expansion.
Direct the development and improvement of underwriting models for financial products such as Loans, Flex, and Overdrafts.
Drive faster model iteration by introducing new data sources, improving feature engineering, and advancing transaction intelligence.
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of machine learning scientists.
Elevate model quality, governance standards, tooling efficiency, and speed of delivery.
Shape organizational approaches to advanced machine learning and artificial intelligence applications within credit.

Requirements

Extensive background in machine learning, statistical modeling, and decisioning systems.
Deep practical experience specifically within credit risk and lending environments.
Proven track record of building, deploying, and iterating production-grade credit models.
Demonstrated experience leading, managing, and developing senior machine learning scientists.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills working alongside Product, Credit Strategy, Engineering, and Validation teams.
Documented ability to translate high-level strategies into practical delivery within a strictly regulated industry.
