Role Overview

The Data team inside the Fraud organization at Plaid seeks a professional to manage the full machine learning lifecycle, including online inference pipelines and feature computation. The person in this position will handle high-performance feature engineering, monitoring tools, and automated debugging capabilities to support reliable fraud detection products.

Key Responsibilities

Construct and scale machine learning systems for a growing fraud detection product within a fast-paced environment
Address technical challenges involving production reliability, data infrastructure, and machine learning
Create foundational machine learning capabilities utilizing financial network data to prevent and detect fraud
Partner with data scientists, engineers, and cross-functional colleagues to launch high-impact solutions

Requirements

Minimum of six years of relevant professional experience focused on building, deploying, and scaling production machine learning systems
Demonstrated expertise in machine learning infrastructure and operations, covering production deployment, system reliability, and monitoring
Ability to independently lead and deliver comprehensive machine learning engineering projects from start to finish
Working knowledge of Python alongside experience with data and machine learning technologies such as PyTorch, Airflow, SageMaker, and Spark

Nice to Have

Background working in risk or fraud domains
Familiarity with graph machine learning
