AssemblyAI is hiring a Senior Gtm Ai Engineer to build software systems, pipelines, and internal tools that power the revenue organization. This fully remote position within North America suits an experienced engineer who wants to drive growth and pipeline impact using modern AI and automation tools.

Role Overview

AssemblyAI is seeking its first Senior GTM AI Engineer to operate inside the revenue department. In this position, you will write code every day to automate tasks that were once handled manually by sales operations teams. Your software will determine target companies, conduct account research, draft initial emails, monitor product usage, and keep CRM data clean. Working directly with account executives, sales development reps, and go-to-market leaders, you will build production systems that help a lean team perform at triple its size.

Key Responsibilities

Write daily code utilizing Python services, SQL models, scheduled jobs, and small internal applications to accelerate go-to-market execution.
Build and maintain multi-step AI agents that handle account research, lead qualification, outreach drafting, CRM hygiene, and usage monitoring.
Transform product usage data from BigQuery and Looker into actionable signals for sellers, including usage alerts, expansion triggers, and account health scores.
Design the account targeting machine, covering data sourcing, enrichment, deduplication, and ICP scoring into ranked rep queues.
Integrate existing enterprise tools like CRMs, enrichment providers, and outbound platforms to ensure seamless data flow without human intervention.
Maintain funnel data integrity by establishing routing rules, field governance, and attribution models.
Prototype rapidly, evaluate what drives pipeline and revenue, and collaborate with Sales and Marketing leadership on future builds.

Requirements

4+ years of professional experience as a software engineer, data engineer, or growth/GTM engineer shipping systems that support others.
Strong proficiency in Python and SQL with proven ownership of production automations, APIs, webhooks, scheduled jobs, error handling, and monitoring.
Practical experience building with Large Language Models beyond simple prompts, including multi-step agents, tool use, retrieval, and evaluation.
Daily usage of AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code combined with strong engineering judgment to review and test output.
Solid core engineering fundamentals covering clean code, version control, code review, debugging, and systems-level thinking.
Genuine curiosity about sales operations and how deals are discovered and closed.
A builder's mindset paired with operator's judgment, low ego, high ownership, and the ability to operate as a single-threaded owner of an entire domain.

Nice to Have

Hands-on experience working with Salesforce or other CRM platforms at the object and API level, or familiarity with enrichment and outbound tools like Clay.
Experience with dbt, BigQuery, and Looker, or equivalent modern data warehouse and BI stacks.
Background working at a developer-facing or API-first company, or experience selling to technical buyers.
Previous experience acting as the first engineer inside a sales or growth organization to build a function from scratch.
