Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer — AI-Native Engineering, Java & React
About this role
Developing customer-facing SaaS applications and using AI-assisted development tools to improve quality and delivery forms the core of daily work at Kaseya. The engineering team modernizes how software is designed, built, tested, and operated by combining strong engineering fundamentals with AI-native development practices.
Ownership of complex features across backend services and frontend experiences spans technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and production support. The person in this role contributes to architecture decisions, incrementally modernizes existing systems, and mentors engineers through code reviews and technical collaboration.
Applicants seeking success here need hands-on technical expertise in Java and React, alongside comfort using coding agents throughout the development lifecycle while maintaining responsibility for correctness, security, and maintainability.
What you will do
- Design and build Java and Spring services alongside React and TypeScript interfaces to solve customer problems.
- Develop APIs, integrations, data models, and distributed or event-driven workflows for cloud-based SaaS applications.
- Take full ownership of features through technical design, implementation, automated testing, release, monitoring, and ongoing support.
- Use AI coding agents for codebase exploration, solution planning, implementation, testing, debugging, documentation, and refactoring.
- Improve established systems through incremental migrations, stronger test coverage, and practical architecture improvements.
- Contribute to design discussions, review code, mentor engineers, and collaborate closely with product, quality, and platform teams.
What you need
- Bring seven or more years of software engineering experience building and supporting production SaaS or enterprise applications.
- Possess four or more years of production Java and Spring experience alongside hands-on delivery of frontend applications using React and TypeScript.
- Demonstrate experience designing APIs, data models, integrations, and distributed or event-driven systems.
- Show practical experience building and operating applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including automated delivery and production support.
- Display practical experience using AI-assisted coding tools for implementation, testing, debugging, refactoring, documentation, or codebase analysis.
- Exhibit strong engineering judgment with the ability to explain trade-offs, diagnose problems, and deliver maintainable solutions.
Nice to have
- Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, GraphQL, Hibernate, JDBC, Kafka, or comparable technologies
- Relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle
- Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, or infrastructure as code
