Designing and building backend services in Go alongside product experiences in TypeScript and React constitutes the daily work for the new team member taking on this role. DoiT International is hiring within their R&D department to drive an AI cost visibility product that helps organizations track model APIs, managed inference, GPUs, and coding tools. Operating within a young product category, the engineer joining this team will shape how the platform functions rather than simply following predefined specifications, utilizing AI tools across the entire engineering workflow from day one.
This position exists because customer cloud bills show spiking AI expenditures that remain difficult to categorize and understand. The ideal candidate brings strong architectural judgement, product-oriented thinking, and an established habit of leveraging agentic tooling for coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. Someone who thrives in ambiguous environments and can autonomously drive features from initial concept through production deployment will do exceptionally well here.
What you will do
- Take ownership of features end-to-end, steering problems from initial customer pain points through design, implementation, release, monitoring, and ongoing iteration.
- Master the domain of AI spend, including token and model pricing, GPU economics, and how usage aggregates across teams and initiatives.
- Integrate AI tools daily across the entire software development lifecycle for codebase exploration, API integration, prototyping, debugging, and testing.
- Design and scale backend services in Go while building responsive, clear product interfaces using TypeScript and React.
- Develop capabilities through an API-first approach so both human users and agents can effectively drive the platform.
- Set technical standards for the R&D team through thoughtful design reviews, mentorship, and sound engineering practices.
What you need
- Bring seven or more years of professional software engineering experience, including background with multi-tenant SaaS products and end-to-end feature ownership.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in Go for building and operating scalable backend services and data processing pipelines.
- Possess solid experience with TypeScript and modern React, accompanied by a strong sense of data presentation for user interfaces.
- Show working experience on public cloud infrastructure, specifically GCP, AWS, or Azure, along with working proficiency in SQL using analytical stores like BigQuery.
- Exhibit a product-oriented mindset focused on understanding user needs and measuring the real impact of delivered features.
- Maintain an AI-augmented working style with concrete experience using AI tools across daily development workflows.
- Apply strong knowledge of software engineering practices, design patterns, architectural principles, and clear English communication skills.
