Role Overview

As a Senior Full Stack AI Engineer at Prompt, the selected candidate will lead artificial intelligence initiatives from initial ideation through architecture, production deployment, and continuous iteration. The role focuses heavily on writing code to develop real-time natural language and telephony solutions, including AI scribes and automated workflows. The candidate will partner closely with product and engineering teams to identify high-leverage opportunities, optimize system accuracy, and help mentor junior team members as the department grows.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the entire lifecycle of artificial intelligence projects from concept to widespread feature adoption in production environments.
Develop and deploy real-time artificial intelligence systems involving speech and natural language processing, such as transcription, classification, and summarization.
Build robust model and prompt pipelines for large language model workflows while maintaining strict accuracy and monitoring standards.
Collaborate with product and engineering departments to spot high-leverage automation opportunities and achieve measurable outcomes.
Help shape the strategic roadmap across speech, natural language processing, and core automation workflows.
Apply technology to streamline clinical documentation, customer support, and billing operations.
Support the development and training of junior staff members within the engineering group.

Requirements

Four or more years of professional or academic experience building artificial intelligence and machine learning systems with direct production ownership.
Strong background in building and evaluating natural language processing or large language model systems, including retrieval, extraction, summarization, and agent workflows.
Practical experience handling speech-related pipelines in production or near-real-time environments like speech-to-text and spoken intent classification.
Proven ability to benchmark and iteratively optimize accuracy, latency, and operational costs.
Proficiency in Python version 3.9 and above.
Basic working knowledge of Docker.
Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Willingness to learn the rehab therapy sector, encompassing physical, occupational, and speech therapy.

Nice to Have

Experience building and tuning real-time speech processing systems focusing on streaming, stability, and latency.
Familiarity with modern speech-to-text and text-to-speech engines, voice pipeline integration, and interactive voice response applications.
Background using Communications Platform as a Service providers like Twilio for telephony workflows.
Experience designing machine learning evaluation pipelines, golden sets, and regression testing.
Familiarity with FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools.
